Accusative Case is used among others after the following prepositions:
przez(e)
  • through
  • via
  • during
w(e)
  • into
na
  • onto
  • to
po
  • for
  • after (to get someone)
  • up to

  • for (as in fight for)
pod
  • to under
  • beneath
  • below
za
  • behind
  • in back of
  • for

przez(e) + Accusative Case

English equivalents of przez(e) + Accusative Case:
  • through
  • via
  • during
Examples
Przez ciebie spóźnię się po pracy.I will be late to work because of you.
Przeze mnie przegraliśmy.We lost because of me.
Przez całą podróż bolała mnie głowa.My head ached during the whole trip.

w(e) + Accusative Case

English equivalents of w(e) + Accusative Case:

Examples
Samochód wjechał w płot.The car crashed into the fence.
Samolot wleciał w chmurę burzową.The plane flew into a storm cloud.
Pijany mężczyzna uderzył pięścią w okno.A drunken man punched the window.

na + Accusative Case

Examples
Nie wchodź na stół!Don't go on the table!
Boję się wchodzić na drabinę.I'm afraid of climbing the ladder.
Chodź na górę!Come upstairs!

po + Accusative Case

Examples
Jadę po Marka do szpitala.I'm going to the hospital for Marek.
Nie widzę żadnego budynku po horyzont.I don't see any building up to the horizon.
Idę po mąkę do sklepu.I'm going to the store for flour.

o + Accusative Case

za + Accusative Case

Komar wleciał za szafę.The mosquito flew behind the wardrobe.
