Noun Declension - y/i ending

During the declension of nouns, the ending -y/i occurs several times. The following rule explains how to use it:
  • If the stem of the noun ends with k, g, ć, dź, ś, ź, ń, l, ść, źdź, śl, śń, źń or j, use -i
  • Otherwise, use -y
The table below shows where this ending may occur.
